I know, I know, it's taken me until right before Halloween to have it done, but here it is.
The hood was a pain the the butt, I'll tell you that much.
I cut out a half circle on the fold so that I could sew it all the way around and it still be a half circle. I put just a little bit of stuffing in it and closed it up.
I then proceeded to sew on the pieces of mop head. That took forever!
After that I sewed the eyeballs on to the top.
Next came the teeth. Those are just cut out of a white piece of felt, and I hot glued them on. Yup I cut corners with a hot glue gun.
Finally, attaching it. I didn't want to sew on snaps, so I just safety pinned it on instead of sewing it on. This way it could move back and forth with ease.
Lily hates to wear anything on her head, so let's see how it goes tonight. She loved wearing the body part, so at least she'll keep that on.
I will certainly post pictures of the finished product on, and I 'll show off my Mike Wazowski costume as well.
I play the role of super mommy, kick-ass girlfriend, and hard working employee every day. Now I have to add baby baker to the list for the next few months as well. Most days I lose my mind in the middle of the day, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

More for Lil's Party
(Yes, I am procrastinating on the Boo costume)
It is right around the corner! My baby will be turning two in a couple of weeks!
The place is reserved, I'll make cupcakes the day before. My cake pop idea went out the window. Never order from Bake Pops! I ordered them in the beginning of September, and those damn pans weren't going to be here by the 4th of November. I just canceled that order and said screw the cake pops. Two months should have been enough time to get them.
Whatever..... back to the original topic. I'll order the sandwiches and pick them up the day of. I still need to pick up the paper goods, some goodie bags, and a few decorations. I already got the wings for Lily and the other little girls to wear.
I look forward to all the fun and excitement. Let's hope I don't bust out crying
Oh, and in regards to my pregnancy. It's getting pretty intense. I have been having crazy contractions for the last two days. I have an appointment tomorrow though, so I hope that all is still well with baby unknown.

More Sewing Escapades
I took a quick break from the Boo costume. It was getting tedious sewing the "hair" on.
I decided to finish up a present that I had started for a friend of mine. She should be having her little girl here soon, so I figured I'd get crackin'
I used a pattern for this one since I'm not an experienced sewer by any means. It came out pretty nice for being such a novice, I think anyways. I was stoked to sew my first button holes and use snaps since I've never worked with either.
I'm kinda in love with the look. I most certainly intend on making one for baby unknown as well :)

24 Weeks Today!
That's right! I have reached the 24 week point. I am happy and scared shitless right now. I'm happy because I am still doing well with the pregnancy so far. I'm scared because of my history.
Aside from the constant, intense back pain, and the ever so frequent contractions things are awesome!
Look at my huge belly!!!
I can't wait to meet my baby girl who still remains nameless

My attempt at making a Monster's Inc costume
I figured since Halloween is a couple of weeks away I had better get crackin' on little miss Lily's costume. I figured since she LOVES Monster's Inc and looks an awful lot like Boo that is what we'll go with.
I started today, and so far it doesn't look too bad. I got a couple of yards of some purple foil dot fabric, some poly stuffing, a couple of styrofoam balls, black pipe cleaners, and I broke out my trusty sewing machine.
I am working on the body part first since that seemed the easiest. I just measured Lily (added a few inches for seam allowance and stuffing), sewed a big rectangle and some lines across it. Then I stuffed it and cut out the arm holes. After that I closed those up around the edges so the stuffing wouldn't pop out.
Here is what I have so far.
I'll just close up the back with some of those big silver clips that you use to hold files together since that is what it looks like in the movie.
The hood is my next step. I still need to pick up a mop head for that, but I am not looking forward to it since it does seem a bit more difficult.
Anywho, when all is said and done she'll just wear a white long sleeve shirt and some white leggings under it, and her hair will of course go up in some piggy tails.
Be on the look out for round 2

Laughter is the best medicine
This pregnancy has been kicking my ass with all of the pain in my hips, my tailbone, and yes my belly already. Ick! It doesn't make things anything better that I fractured my tailbone as a kiddo, so it kills me when I get knocked up.
Yesterday I was in so much pain it must have been hard to even watch me walk. I looked like I had a stick up my tookus, my feet shackled together with a six inch chain, and like one of my legs was longer than the other. At least that is the best way that I can think to describe the way I looked. I swear my 90 year old great grandmother looks more graceful than I do at this point. As I was laying on the couch in misery Todd decided that I need some cheering up, so he threw on some stand up comedy on good old Netflix.
First we started with that dude from Police Academy that does the noises. Man, that was bad on all levels! I would not recommend it to anyone. I don't know how we made it halfway through that disaster.
Next we decided to give Jeff Ross a try. I totally forgot all about my pain by the end of that show! I laughed so much my cheeks hurt. I hadn't laughed that much since the Arizona desert episode of Dual Survival. The best part was the end when Larry the toll booth operator jumps on stage as a volunteer. I was crying by the end of it because I was laughing THAT much. Here is a quick clip for you to enjoy
If you're having a bad day or if you are in pain, I hope this makes you feel as awesome as it made me feel!

Saw the doctor today
Things are going grrrrreat! (did you just picture Tony the Tiger?)
So far so good on the preterm labor front. No cervical changes=awesome news! Baby is perfect measuring in the 51% and having a blast in my "really great fluid" (the tech made mention numerous times that it was some of the best fluid she had seen LOL) And yes, baby is still a girl. No penis sprouting so far.
As a pleasant surprise I got a 3D ultrasound. They were training a new tech, and the senior tech decided it would be a good time to let her play with the 3D options. I loved it, to say the least. Oh she is a gorgeous little baby! She looks a lot like her sister already.
On another note, I guess baby unknown was being quite cooperative and was showing off perfect textbook pictures of her anatomy for the new tech. Good job little one.
She was also rockin' and rollin' in there. No wonder I can't sleep well, she was having a party in there.
Now for your viewing pleasure...... baby unknown

Party Planning for Miss Lily
I can't believe it, it's right around the corner. My little Lily is turning 2 next month!
I love to plan her parties, so I am super excited!
This year's theme is fairies since she loves Tinkerbell. I'm going with just a pink and green color scheme, and so far I have the invites drafted up. I like them, but I don't know if I'm in love with them yet
As for the party itself it's going to be at an indoor play area/jumping world type place. We did it there last year and it was amazing. I think the adults had more fun than the kids. Not to mention I just handed over the food and decorations and they did it all. I didn't have to set up or clean up. It was so nice!
I'm thinking of doing some of those ever so popular cake pops with edible glitter on them in pink and green as well as a small cake for the candles. That is if my bake pops pans ever come in. I ordered them ages ago and they are still on back order grr.... If they don't, I really don't want to have to make them all by hand, so cupcakes it'll be. For food we'll just do a couple of those huge sub sandwiches and some sodas and punch.
I'm still thinking out the center pieces for the two tables that are there, but I am kicking around some ideas. That will probably end up being a last minute type of thing as usual. The creative juices just are flowing until it's down to the wire.
Lily will be dressed up as a little fairy and I'll have fairy wings for the other kids to wear if they so choose. Gotta love the dollar store! She is going to be a doll, with her pink and green tutu and her second birthday tshirt. You bet your sweet patootie you'll be seeing pics of all of the cuteness.
Eeeeek I'm excited! Let's see if she'll actually get in the jumpers this year. Last year she cried and refused. It'll be a blast for sure!
Now I need to get on her Halloween costume. I just need to drag my but to the fabric store, but that is another post for another time :)

I'm sorry.
The rest of my day was pretty uneventful since I was working (I work from home.)
The best part was hearing, "I sahwee." every 2 minutes.
Miss Lily picked it up from who knows where. The first time she said it she just walked up to me and said, "I sahwee" and I asked her why she was sorry. She took my hand and led me to the hallway to show me that she knocked over the baby gate that was propped up against the wall. It was one of those "so cute I want to squish you moments."
Then it continued allllllll day.
It's still cute as hell. I'm in trouble. I swear I can never get mad at her now. I am powerless even as she tried to climb on the entertainment center
Me: "Are you crazy, get down from there!"
Lily: "I sahwee"
Me: *headtilt* "Aww come here and give me big hugs!"

What an awful way to start the day.
Man oh man, I woke up to quite a sad and disturbing dream this morning. Being that I'm pregnant dreams can be pretty vivid, so that didn't help any at all.
I dreamt that I had 7, yes 7, premature babies! I had 6 girls and 1 boy. They were all hooked up to machines and wires were every where. Now here I am trying to remind myself that it's only a dream, and things will be ok.
Many would chalk it up to normal pregnancy dreams which can be pretty crazy on their own. I agree with that, but I'm still pretty scared and down. My first born was actually a micro preemie born just a couple of days shy of 24 weeks. We had 2 glorious days with her before she passed due to a severe brain hemorrhage. I miss her every single day of my life, but I am grateful for the short time we were able to spend together.
We have no idea why she was born early, but my doctors have been watching me like a hawk which makes me feel a little bit better, but of course the thought still scares me shitless.
Sorry to be such a Debby Downer. I'm new to the blogging world, and this may not be the best way to start out a new blog, but it is what it is.
Let's hope the rest of the day just gets better!

Brand Spanking New Blog
Welp here we go!
My very first blog, and I have no clue what to say.......
I guess I could start out with a little bit about me and my growing family. Yeah, that sounds like a good place to start.
I'm Sara, and I am 27 years old, although these days I feel twice that. I have a wonderful boyfriend that is hilarious, fun, and oh so amazing. Together we have spawned a cute pie that is soon to be two. Miss Lily drives us both crazy, but the cute factor helps balance that until she passes this terrible twos phase. We also have another darling little girl on the way. I'm actually about 23 weeks along in my pregnancy, and it has been hell on my body. I'm so ready for the next few months to fly by for that reason.
As for my curious extravaganza that I call life, it's pretty full of WTF moments, stress, fun, hilarity, hiccups, confusion, and lots and lots of love.
